The Spray Booth which is a specialised chamber providing a dust free, ventilated and temperature controlled environment for the specific purpose of painting our Splashbacks.
The piece of glass has already been cut to required size and shape using our Float Cutter and Water Jet Cutter the toughening process is also carried out prior to painting.
In the Spray Booth the splashback is cleaned thoroughly and dried before the first coat of paint is applied followed by a second and third coat allowing a short 2 minute interval between each coat.
A final backing layer of protective paint is then applied to what will be the back of the splashback after which the temperature in the booth is raised to 70 degrees to dry the paint for a period of 40 minutes. After this baking period the splashback is cleaned, checked for quality and prepared for transportation to its final destination.
